Troubleshooting

The following are some basic troubleshooting steps to take before getting in touch with us.

The launcher never starts for me - I see a black window pop up and disappear.

  1. Make sure you extract all Skillbox files into a folder before running it.
  2. If you are certain you extracted them correctly, try re-downloading Skillbox again, before contacting us.

The launcher fails while downloading assets for me.

  1. Try again once.
  2. Make sure you do not have a proxy, or VPN active.
  3. Make sure you do not have custom DNS settings active.

My client loads but the RuneScape window is all black, however I can see the plugins list on the right-hand side.

  1. Make sure you can use OpenOSRS without any trouble - if not reset it's config.
  2. Make sure you do not have a proxy, or VPN active.
  3. Make sure you do not have custom DNS settings active.
  4. Disable bright textures in the GPU plugin (let us know if this was the case).
  5. Disable your GPU plugin (let us know if this was the case).
